Update

It has been too long since my last update on here but since i am always looking at wedding stuff i will share :)

Well we havent got a whole ton of details figured out but there are a few things i am decided on (for the moment)

This is the idea for flowers and also the colors for the wedding. My bouquet is gonna look something like this as well, just a little tweaking. Colors are Red and this shade of pink that is on the stargazers. Also will be having hints of cremes and maybe really pale yellows ( not sure on the yellow yet though)

this is my centerpiece idea for the reception. once again a little tweaking. i am wanting to lay some stargazers around the base (not a ton just maybe 1 between each candle on the bottom) and then have the petals spread out a little more onto the table but yea basic idea here

also been looking at ways to decorate the reception area and these are what i have come up with (these are just brainstorming not sure if i will go with any of this but we dont want to use overhead lights so we want lots of other lighting)

we are still looking for places we want to have the ceremony but we are leaning towards using the lodge for the reception( those of you who dont know us very well this would be the elks lodge) but we are going to look at chapel on the hill here in broken arrow for the ceremony site

also we have decided to do an all inclusive all adult resort for a week for the honeymoon jut not sure where yet. anyone have a favorite? PLEASE SHARE!!!!!!! i will take all and any suggestions or recommendations :)

WE'RE GETTIN' HITCHED!!!!!

yes i am not imagining it LOL we are tying the knot!!!! This post is kinda late in coming, but its the first real chance i have had( and that i remembered) to update this. *sigh* im bad at this i know.....but he did indeed pop the question under rhema's lights in the park

I KNOW! how sweet :) and he even did it at the wishing well

but anyways we have set the date a ways off April 14th 2012, but it works best for us

So not sure what to title this. I just dont think there are the right words to sum it up. Yesterday, for the first time in my life, I found out what true, unfiltered fear feels like. Can I just say i never want to feel that again, but sadly i don't think it will be the last time this unnamed person will cause that feeling. It makes it worse knowing that all you can do is watch the way it all unfolds, hold you breath, feel the pain it causes, and do nothing........ What can you do to help and change the situation when they don't want help? What can you do when your eyes are dry and you're blue in the face? The answer- NOTHING. and that makes it worse. When all you can do is watch it go on and on like a record that's stuck and keeps replaying itself, and hope that you never get a phone call saying its all over.........it hurts. Sorry i know this is melancholy, and i'm ok. I have a wonderful life and many things to cherish. I am happy with how my life is going, but i just wish it would spill over into his choices. So what do i do? Is there really anything you can do? A brick wall won't move just because you push it and tell it to go. Am I a bad person because i do nothing? I wish I had the answers or the solution. People don't change because they are told to. They change because they want to. What can I do if they don't think they need to change.

Thoughts

So this is just obscure thoughts. Some will understand, others may not. The people you love are the ones you will always worry about. Most of the time you hope that your fears are ungrounded, but sometimes you have good right to fret. You look up and see the potential for great and good, you hold the knowledge that this person could be great, that they are so smart if they will only use their head and think. You watch every wrong move made, every bad step taken, and you sit back and do nothing because you know there is nothing left you can do. Your heart will probably break at this realization, but still you watch...helpless. Free will is the greatest gift we have. It makes some of the most treasured moments in your life. It also brings the biggest heartaches. Will we be on opposite sides of glass before you understand?

Vacation

So this is a little behind....oh well deal with it lol :)

Adam and I took our first real vacation together. We didn't go far or anywhere exotic, just headed out to Branson for a 4 day weekend. It was the best 4 day weekend ever! So nice to just sit back and relax. We were both needing it desperately. We also got to spend time together without having to worry about anything. Good quality time together is an essential part of any relationship you want to keep, especially with your partner. So overall we had a success.
We did see 3 Shows while there. The first was the Showstoppers on the Showboat Branson Belle. It was pretty neat and the food was actually good.......enormous.......but good. The ship was pretty and kinda neat.

We also saw the amphitheater show at Silver Dollar City. It was GAC Nights and it was pretty good. We saw The Dixie Stampede. love LoVe LOVED IT! They make you eat with your hands though LOL it wasn't too bad. Good food too. Adam was so hungry he ate all of what they brought. Each person gets a whole rotisserie chicken, herb baked potato, roll, vegetable soup, corn on the cob, and an apple turnover. YUMMY!
Well we did have a downside to the trip. At the Bass Pro in Springfield, I set my iPod down and it walked off (with help) GRRR. I have decided i will not let it ruin our trip though, it is material and easily bought again. But we did have a blast there. They were remodeling so we didnt get the whole massive experience, but we made do :)

But i think i wore him out

Rodeo Dreams

So this past weekend, Adam and I went to the PRCA 2010 Rodeo. Let me tell you i have always loved rodeos and this one was no different. Unfortunately, because either i am of the blonde persuasion or I am prone to memory loss (either works most days lol) I left my camera at home and missed getting pics of it all (insert grrr here). So I will steal others :)

These beauties are the Priefert Percherons of the Texas Thunder. They are beautiful to watch. and did i mention they are no small horse? Averaging about 18 hands they weigh in about 2200lbs, and you sure can feel them coming at you.

Now onto one of my favorite parts of rodeo....my ladies. I really love watching the barrel racers because i have always wanted to do it. Part of me still does, but sometimes you put away one dream for another. If i ever got the chance i would probably learn how, but dont know that i would ever go to rodeo with it. Here some of the girls from this weekend.

Well all in all, it was a great rodeo. Good bulls and Broncs meant fewer riders got times and the ones who did were definitely worth the watch. Clay Walker and Eli Young Band were awesome. Could have done without finding the hole out on the dirt while dancing that hurt my ankle, but you win some you lose some.

Thanks for nothing guys

So I would just like to give a big thanks to Hibdon Tires........for a whole lot of NOTHING!!!!!! When I take a car in to have something fixed, I expect it to come back fixed. I didnt pay for them to stare at it for 4 hours. UGH oh well glad adam is the one dealing with that and not me......poor guy at hibdon LOL
So counting down to vacation! YAY!!!!! we are in desperate need for a few days of blissful workless fun. all work and no play makes for some stressful days. well that is all :)
